What a way to start out a new week of raiding than to take down a new boss!

Last week we got a lot of work in on Hydross. We had multiple attempts that brought us close to success but we just couldn't quite get there (best attempt was 3%). Bad luck on aggro control, mis-timed heals, positioning & etc were playing havoc during last week's attempts, BUT..........

Well this week, we spent time on a few tries breaking in some folks who had not previously seen Hydross and getting some practice refining our strategy and it finally all came together!!!

HYDROSS is DOWN!

Thank you Ebonleaf for your leadership, guidance and support in our raiding efforts....your hard work is definitely paying off BIG in SSC. We now have 3 of 6 bosses down in Serpentshrine Cavern.

Raid Video: Hydross the Unstable - 1st Kill Video

Well, this kind of report usually waits for a monthly wrap-up but, collectively, Benevolence has not seen a week like this since...well, I cannot remember.

In a 6 day period, we have experienced (4) "guild first" boss kills!! What an amazing week!! From the oldie but goodie members to our newest members and recruits, this is all due to the hard work, dedication and performance by ALL of you.

Thank you so much for making this a week to remember and one to be VERY VERY proud of!

*note: The Jan'Alai kill raid was also the 1st ever 4 boss Z'A night and only the 2nd time we have ever beaten Halazzi.

On what was - ironically - April Fools Day, Ebonleaf led us into Serpentshrine Cavern for more fun boss killing in this underwater hell-hole! The Lurker Below, being on farm status, was a smooth and easily executed one shot (just as it should be).

So we cleared our way, as we have the past few weeks, to Morogrim Tidewalker for more work on this tricky encounter. Well, after a few tries and alot of headway....we nailed this sucker to the floor. What is it our mothers used to say to us? The bigger they are, they harder they fall....and fall hard this giant did!

Apparently my field reporters are a bit slow to the punch, and for that I apologize.

This past Sunday, Protexe/Galius led the guild on a Sunday Boss picnic. First they swept through Gruul's lair and one-shotted both the High Council and Gruul (as is expected). Afterwards, the raid decided that instead of working on a new SSC or TK boss they would go re-visit the Pit Lord, Magtheridon.

As Grom Hellscream and Warchief Thrall had done with Mannoroth, we accomplished the same feat with Magtheridon. BOOYAH! Another Guild 1st kill.
